    Abstract

    In today’s digital age, social media has become one of the most powerful and interactive ways people communicate with each other. Platforms like Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, WhatsApp, and YouTube have not only made sharing information faster and easier, but they have also started to shape the way we use language in everyday life.

    Hindi, which serves as a major link language in India, has found a much wider audience through social media and is now reaching people across the globe. This study aims to explore how social media has influenced the Hindi language—what kinds of linguistic changes have emerged, what challenges the Devanagari script is facing in the digital environment, and what possibilities lie ahead for Hindi in the future.

    The findings suggest that while social media has played a significant role in spreading and popularizing Hindi at a rapid pace, it has also raised new concerns regarding the purity of the language, its grammar, and its standardization. As people increasingly mix Hindi with English and adopt informal writing styles online, the language continues to evolve in new and unexpected ways.
